Weekend May 21st/22nd 2016
Saturday witnessed a much needed win for the 2nds over North County at Marlay Park. The visitors batted first and made 138, with each of Imran Khan and Gurninder Singh taking 3 wickets which total Sandyford reached for the loss of 8 wickets in the 35th over. Vishal Dara top-scored with 31 while the webmaster, Paul O'Neill, chipped in with 27.

An excellent win also for the 1st at Marlay on Sunday against North Kildare 2nds. Batting first, Sandyford made 180/07 off 35 overs in a rain reduced game, with Senthil Kumar hitting 53*. In reply the visitors scored 143/09 with Vinay Iqbal taking 3/29 leaving Sandyford comfortable victors by 37 runs.

Weekend May 14th/15th 2016
A lovely sunny weekend with only the 1st XI in action in Marlay Park against YMCA 4ths. Batting first, Sandyford, despite being 3/38 and 6/118 went on to make an excellent 7/250 at the close of the innings aided by 50s by Arun Kumar and Vinay Iqbal and a stand of 85 between Shiyas Basheer and Vinay. YMCA were dismissed for 145 with Arun taking 3 wickets, leaving Sandyford winners by 105 runs.
Man of the match Arun Kumar with 52 and 3/25.

Congratulations to Anand Joshi
Anand has become the proud father of baby girl (below). No news of a name yet but both father and mother (Swetal) are doing well.
Weekend May 7th/8th
The 2nds entertained Phoenix at Marlay Park on Sunday. Batting first the visitors made an impressive 194/06 but thanks to a 50 by Ravinder Singh (below), Sandyford made a good effort to chase down the total making 172/8 in reply.

Weekend April 30/May 02 2016
Both teams were in action over the long weekend. The 2nds played their first game of the season at home to Cabinteely. Batting first, Sandyford were dismissed for 98 despite a half century by Derek McCormack but the visitors made the target for the loss of 5 wickets, with Anto Burke, playing his first game for the 2nds in a number of seasons, taking two wickets.
David Gray enjoys a rare home cup of tea with Derek McCormack who scored a 50.
Better luck for the 1sts against Pembroke 4 recording a 7 wicket victory with Qasir Chohan (below) scoring a half century for the club's first competitive win of the season. Pembroke made 171 all out which Sandyford chased down for the loss of only 3 wickets in 33 overs.
