We had a good turnout of 14 teams raising over a grand for the club. Members I saw included Anto, Sanjoe, Lofty, Colin C, Steve L,  Age, Dave W, Ramji, Prem, Paul O'N, Prem, Kanwar, Ronan, Srikanth, Ray S and apolgies if I have forgotton anyone.

Thanks also to Bazil for bringing two teams and founder member Brendan MacConville who came on crutches, having ruptured an achilles playing Taverners.

Let's try and aim for 20 teams next year and more sponsors.

p.s. The quiz was won by a "quiet" team of lawyers and teachers, captained by former member Steve Tonge.

Gentlemen, with just days to go this is just a reminder post to encourage you in your efforts to secure a team/sponsorship. As I said in original message a good turn out on the night is essential in order for the club to raise the funds it needs for to pay the various bills for the season. So please be proactive and bring a team with you on the night.

All members are asked to attend on the night and if anyone doesn't have a full team they can join up with teams that might not have a full compliment either. But let's do our best to get those teams out..

Spot prizes will be gratefully appreciated as well.

Anto (Club Secretary).

The 2nds came back empty handed from a visit to Knockharley. Batting first, Sandyford made128 ao which the home side chased down for the loss of only 4 wickets.

It was a day of records for the 3rds in their Cup quarter final against Clontarf 7ths. Batting first, Sandyford made a 3rds record score of 277-7, with Chris Keene making 117 and sharing a club record 2nd wicket partnership with Anish Pillai (61) of 153 with Daniel White hitting a quick-fire 57*. In Clontarf's innings, Daniel also took a hat-trick as the visitors were dismissed for 197.

The three stars of the cup win

The three stars: l/r hat-trick man Dan White (4-37) and 57*, centurion Chris Keene  117 and 1-24 and Anish Pillai 61 and 2-26. Chris and Anish also put on a club 2nd wicket record stand of 153.

The 3rds came back down to earth with a bang on Sunday when they were beaten by 9 wickets in Three Rock by Knockharley. The ten man team could only muster 77, with just two players getting in to double figures, which Knockharley easily knocked off for the loss of 1 wicket.

A great win for the 1sts away to Leinster. Batting first, Sandyford made 254-08 with a maiden century (103*) by Prem Peethambaran and with the help of 4-17 by Salman Ali Leinster were dismissed well short of the total for 141. I don't remember a weekend where two Sandyford players scored centuries.

Prem who scored 103* against Leinster making it a double century weekend for the club.
