In a re-arranged Division 13 game, Sandyford 3rds surrendered home advantage and travelled to play Railway Union in a limited over 20/20 game. Railway batted first and made 166-03, with Morgan making 69. Sandyford put on a good chase  but the run rate was always creeping up until 12 an over was required for the last 5 overs. The visitors eventually finished on 131-09 off 20 overs (Amandeep 31, Anand 28).

On Saturday, the 1sts were well beaten away to Railway Union with the home side scoring an impressive  315/6 and Sandyford making 183/9 in reply with Ramji top-scoring on 81.

The 2nds were also well beaten by YMCA 4 at Marlay Park on Sunday. A 10th wicket partnership of 69 between Vimal (42) and Sean McGuinness, the 2nd highest 10th wicket partnership in the club's history, helped Sandyford make 114/10, having been 12/06 at one stage but YMCA knocked off the runs for the loss of only 3 wickets.

Ramji's 81 wasn't enough to help the 1sts beat Railway Union

Minor Cup semi-final: Railway Union 6ths 197-07. Sandyford 3rds 89 ao. Rush beat Dundrum in the other semi-final.  Enough said.

On Sunday the 3rds then travelled to the Phoenix Park to take on bottom of the table, Civil Service. Batting first, Sandyford could only muster 71-10 off 33 overs which the home side easily chased down for the loss of only 2 wickets.

The 1sts couldn't reverse the trend either and they too were soundly beaten on Sunday  in Marlay Park by Malahide 3rds. Sandyford made 118 ao. Malahide didn't have much difficulty in reaching the total losing only 2 wickets in the process.

Srikanth Boddu has recently returned home to India to get married and we have a photograph of him along with his bride kindly provided by DJ who was at the ceremony. Best wishes to the happy couple for the future.

The 1sts welcomed YMCA to Marlay Park on the Saturday. Batting first, the home side could muster only 96 (Ramji 39) and despite having the visitors 38-05 at one stage, YMCA eventually made the total for the loss of 6 wickets (Baiju 3/14).

On a drizzle filled day, Sandyford 3s travelled on Sunday to Wesley to play their bête noir, Dundrum 3. The home side as usual scored over two hundred runs before they were dismissed in the 40th over for 202. Sandyford never looked like chasing down the score and despite 33* by Rhys Waters and 33 by Dan White, the visitors finished their innings on 147-08.

Alas the 2nds also drew a blank on Monday. Batting first Sandyford made 180 ao in 41.2 overs away to Terenure 3 with Senthil Kumar hitting 52. Terenure easily chased down the total for the loss of only 1 wicket which ended a disappointing weekend for the club.
