On Saturday, the 1sts were well beaten away to Railway Union with the home side scoring an impressive  315/6 and Sandyford making 183/9 in reply with Ramji top-scoring on 81.

The 2nds were also well beaten by YMCA 4 at Marlay Park on Sunday. A 10th wicket partnership of 69 between Vimal (42) and Sean McGuinness, the 2nd highest 10th wicket partnership in the club's history, helped Sandyford make 114/10, having been 12/06 at one stage but YMCA knocked off the runs for the loss of only 3 wickets.

Ramji's 81 wasn't enough to help the 1sts beat Railway Union

Minor Cup semi-final: Railway Union 6ths 197-07. Sandyford 3rds 89 ao. Rush beat Dundrum in the other semi-final.  Enough said.

On Sunday the 3rds then travelled to the Phoenix Park to take on bottom of the table, Civil Service. Batting first, Sandyford could only muster 71-10 off 33 overs which the home side easily chased down for the loss of only 2 wickets.

The 1sts couldn't reverse the trend either and they too were soundly beaten on Sunday  in Marlay Park by Malahide 3rds. Sandyford made 118 ao. Malahide didn't have much difficulty in reaching the total losing only 2 wickets in the process.
