PostHeaderIcon Sandyford Cricket Club

A mixed day for the club on Saturday. The 1st team lost its cup match to Rush by 33 runs in Marlay. The visitors made 181-09 (Burke 3-16) but Sandyford were dismissed for 148.

A club record partnership of 182 between Anish Pillai (92) and Chris Keene (90) saw Sandyford easily win its Minor Cup game on its first visit to Greystones. Sandyford made 238-04 from 40 overs and dismissed the home side for 56, with Steve Langton and Jamie Stackpool each taking 3 wickets.

Former member and 2nd team captain, Liam Hale (of the much worn Irish rugby top) marries Sinead this Friday. We wish him much happiness and hope he doesn't forget that cricket still exists even when married Smile

An eight man 3rd team lost its Russell Court Cup game to Dundrum. Batting first, Sandyford made 110 but lost by four wickets despite Ravi Singh taking 4 wickets.
 
Sandyford made 103 off its 20 overs which Greystones chased down for the loss of 6 wickets and two balls left.
 
On Monday evening the 2nds had a narrow victory over Terenure. Sandyford made 112 which total their opponents fell 5 runs short of.
