The 2nds game on Sunday has been called off by YMCA due to that club double booking their ground for an Under Eleven All Ireland Final.


Great News for Anish Pillai as he is now the proud father of a son. Mother, son and father are doing well.

In a rain reduced game on Saturday, the 1sts took on Laois who made 158-08 in 30 overs in damp Marlay Park. Sandyford reached the total for the loss of 5 wickets with Ramji making 55

 With the 2nds game cancelled on Sunday, the 3rds were the only team in action as they travelled to Knockharley to play their 3rd side. This was Dan White's last game for Sandyford and in celebration of this event he scored 113 as Sandyford batted first and made 240-09 off a reduced 35 overs, equalling their highest ever league score. He and Anand Joshi put on a record 3rds team 5th wicket stand of 124. Knockharley, starting with 10 players but reduced to 9 men when one of their players pulled a hamstring made 83 in reply with Dan taking a wicket with his last ball for the club.. Steve Langton took 3-19.

Dan white who rounded off his last game for the club with 113 runs, a run out and a wicket off his last delivery.

Despite a brave effort by Ireland who set a competitive score of 269-07, Irishman Eoin Morgan scored a century to help England win by 6 wickets assisted by fellow Irishman Boyd-Rankin who picked up 4 wickets.

 There to witness the game were Sandyfordians Chris Keene, Paul O'Neill and Anto Burke.

Sandyford 2nds visited Swords on the Saturday and in a thrilling game won by 1 wicket. The home side batted first and made 88 (Ravi taking 3 wickets) but Sandyford struggled to make the total but aided by a speedy 20 by Anish reached the total with 9 wickets down.

On Sunday the 3drs faced North Kildare in Marlay Park and batted first. Thanks to 45 by Anand and 28 by Ravi Sandyford made 132 before being dismissed in the 33rd over. Ravi also struck early on in the Kildare innings reducing the visitors to 9-2 but that was as good as it got for Sandyford with North Kildare winning by 8 wickets, G. Hunt making 63.
