Only the 2nds were in action and that didn't last very long. Playing Civil Service 3rds on Sunday, the heavens opened and the game was abandoned after 6 overs.

Sandyford 1st faced Terenure 2nds in the preliminary round of the Salver on Tuesday in Terenure. The home side batted first and made 147/05 with Donal Lynch top-scoring with 85 off 60 balls. Sandyford fell 20 runs short (127/10) of the target despite Mohammad Abdullah hitting 33 off 15 balls.

A mixed weekend for the club at the weekend. The 2nds, with their eyes no doubt on the royal wedding Cool, were well beaten by North Kildare 3rds. Sandyford batted first and made 155/08 but the home side chased the target down for the loss of only 5 wickets.

On Sunday, the 1sts had the pleasure of playing Dublin University in College Park. Sandyford batted first and made an impressive 294/09 with Mohammad Abdullah top-scoring with 93. TCD were dismissed in reply for 84 with Mohammad weighing in with 3 wickets.

The 1sts were well beaten on Saturday in Marlay Park by Adamstown 2 thanks primarily to 111 by Bradley Fernades. Adamstown batted first and made 239/07 with Sandyford being only able to muster 79 in reply, Mohammad Abdullah top-scoring with 32 not out.

The 2nds winning run came to a halt at Marlay Park on Sunday against Clontarf 5ths.  The visitors score of 119 (Bhupinder Nizer 6/21) was enough to secure victory as ten man  Sandyford were dismissed for 66.

A mixed weekend for Sandyford with the 1st team travelling to take on Ringcommons on Saturday. The home side batted first and make 169/9, with Mohammad Abdullah being the pick of the Sandyford bowlers, taking 5/23 off his 9 overs. Sandyford's response was disappointing with none of the top 6 getting in to double figures, the top-scorer being Shyam Bharti on 26, and Sandyford were dismissed for only 128.

Better luck for the 2nds who played North Kildare on Sunday. Sandyford batted first and made 171, with the in-form Shyam Bharti leading the way with 65 and the visitors were dismissed for 131, the wickets being evenly spread among the bowlers.

     Runs a plenty for Shyam

Shyam Bharti, top runs scorer for both the 1sts and 2nds.
