The 2nds were the only team in action over the weekend, taking on Clontarf 5ths in the Junior Cup. Alas it was another early exit in a cup competition for Sandyford this season with the north-siders advancing to the next round.

Sandyford 1 visited Claremont Road to take on YMCA 3 in the first round of the YMCA Salver. Batting first, Sandyford made 102/10 off 18.5 overs, Muhammad Javed top-scoring with 34. YMCA only lost one wicket in surpassing the total, also off 18.5 overs.

Saturday saw the 2nds game against Phoenix 5th cancelled due to rain.

The 1sts faced Pembroke 3rds on the Sunday in the Middle Cup at Sydney Parade. Sandyford batted first and made 173/09 off 40 overs, Senthil Kumar top-scoring with 31. Pembroke chased down the score for the loss of 7 wickets thus ending Sandyford's aspirations in the cup for another year.

Both teams were in action in Marlay Park at the weekend. The 1st entertained Merrion on Saturday and batting first were dismissed for 151 in the 35th over. The visitors reached that score with one ball to go but their batsman was dismissed off the last ball leaving the scores tied!!

Not so much drama on Sunday where the 2nds beat North County 4ths by 5 wickets in a low scoring affair. The visitors were dismissed for 80 with Anurag Singh taking 3/12 and despite a slight wobble (5/69), a 33 by Ihsan Ullah saw Sandyford home.

The 2nds faced Adamstown 3rds on Monday evening in Marlay Park but it was a bad result for the home side. Batting first, Sandyford were dismissed for only 83 off 17.3 overs, with Abrash Khan top-scoring with 31. Adamstown chased down the score for the loss of 5 wickets off 17.5 overs.
