A run of poor form continued for both teams. The 1sts lost to Clontarf 4ths by 4 wickets, despite 65 from Abhishek Pandey in a total of 187.

Away to Rush on Sunday, the home side made 225 but Sandyford fell 71 runs short of the total, being dismissed for 154, Atif Khan top-scoring with 34.

No luck against for the 2nds as they were knocked out of the Junior Cup by Bagnalstown 2nds, losing by 5 wickets. Another poor batting performance saw a weakened side dismissed for only 86.

The 2nds bad run of for continued at home to YMCA 4ths on the Saturday in Marlay Park being dismissed for only 79. YMCA romped home losing only 2 wickets in the process.

The 1sts also lost in Marlay Park on the Sunday against Greystones 1sts. Sandyford were dismissed for 135, with No. 11 batsman,  Vignesh Ravi Sankar top-scoring with 35, having a last-wicket partnership of 49 with Bhupinder Nizer. Greystones lost 5 wickets in their successful chase.




On Saturday the 16th, Sandyford 1 took on Ringcommons 1 in the Middle 2 Cup. Sandyford were dismissed for 144 in the 39th over (having been 131/04), with Shiyas Basheer top-scoring with 33*. Ringcommons chased down the score for the loss of only 3 wickets.

No better luck for the 2nds who also lost at home to Rush 3. Sandyford were dismissed for a lowly 108, with Amandeep Sahota top-scoring with 34,  and Rush made the target for the loss of 2 wickets.


The 1sts were in action against Clontarf 4ths on Saturday. Clontarf won the toss and elected to bat and made 220/09 off their allotted overs. In reply Sandyford were dismissed for 150, Vinay Iqbal top-scoring with 55.

The 2nds also lost on Sunday against Merrion 6. Sandyford made 142 but the visitiors made the total for the loss of only 3 wickets.


   Vinay Iqbal's 55 was not enough to secure victory over Clontarf 4ths.
